The Signal Map

What moved across technology coverage

A public snapshot of technology coverage movement: topics gaining attention, newly emerging names, and connections showing up in shared coverage. Sourced, dated, and coverage-limited.

The Signal Map is free to read and rebuilt each time the measurements refresh, so every dated edition in the archive is a citable snapshot of the record as it stood that day. Each edition measures the trailing three complete calendar months — the exact window is on the data line below, and the still-running month is excluded so months compare cleanly. Because the window moves slowly and the refresh is frequent, consecutive editions will often look alike; that is the record holding steady, not a stale page. Items are ranked by coverage movement and corpus support, not by importance, quality, or investment value.

How to read it. Coverage movers changed coverage velocity the most this period. Emerging topics are newly visible or rising from a low base. Connections show topics appearing together in shared coverage. Every item is a dated measurement, not a call to act.

Public items appear only when enough dated articles stand behind them. A deal-style headline can show up when it's part of the measured record — the signal is the pattern, not the headline.
